Absolutely the best course at Legends. A master piece Pete Dye design. The greens are challenging and fast.
The course was in fabulous condition. The rough was brtual. It still is the hardest golf course I played in mytrle beach.
Spacious fairways and greens rolled true. Its a must play for all skill level golfers
Spectacular layout. Greens were a bit wore due to the rain conditions earlier in the week. Overall, a great golf course
Understaffed
Course was in great shape. Greens were nice & big. The fairways were a little wet, (Mother Nature) so we weren’t getting any roll. Ball was plugging or actually backing up sometimes, which made the course play very long. Overall, a good track. Couple of issues: Not enough water available on the course. The fountain water was warm & didn’t have enough pressure to even fill a bottle. Golfers should be allowed to bring their own water. You have to carry your clubs all the way out to the driving range, which is a hike from the bag drop and the bag assistants were bossy.
Course was a good challenge with a good layout. Greens rolled great. There was a lot of confusion due to a large amount of players trying to go out at the same time. (Many others besides our group) There were 12 of us & we knew who we were paired with & could have loaded ourselves with less confusion if the assistants would’ve let us. Just tell us the course information we need and let us go play.
Enjoyed playing Pine Hills. Seemed shorter than Palmetto. Good layout
What an experience!! Top notch from start to finish. A very scenic course that was also a fair course. Wide fairways. Keep the ball in play and you can shoot a good round. The greens had been punched and were trying to grow back in, but were still a little bumpy, but that’s part of maintaining a quality course. The staff was excellent. If there were 6 stars, I’d give it.
Evidently this course doesn’t drain well. Mushy fairways, sand traps with no sand, & a course worker on a tractor with a blower that had no regard for the players.
Hard to believe that Southcreek is right beside the West Course. Totally different in style & condition. Really enjoyed playing this course. All of the personnel was pleasant and accommodating.
Wish I could’ve started on 1 instead of 10

Amazing set up, green a little sub standard
Greens were recently punched so pretty bumpy.
Only good thing in shape was the greens. Fairways and bunkers were not well kept. Understand they got a lot of rain in August but all the other courses seemed to handle well. Fairway on first hole was longer than rough.
Probably a 4 off 5 or so. It was very wet that day and cart path only.
The course layout and service at course was great. We were not very impressed with the condition of the course though. The greens were very tall and had not been cut recently. There also was very little difference between fairways and rough. I know the weather has been affecting maintenance, but do not feel the course should be describing course as a premium course. The other courses on property looked to be of equal quality.
Due to the rain, we only played 2 1/2 holes. Had to take a rain check which was not good considering we were flying out the next morning. Credit to the pro shop would have been a lot better. We were planning on buying stuff anyway. Just made us spend more money that we didn’t need to. Other than that, the weather was the problem. Excellent staff though.
Great time
Best course yet
Tough, challenging course. Friendly staff throughout. Back nine was pretty much rained out. As we had already made the turn and played the tenth while we received a rain check for nine which was greatly appreciated. Will definitely be back.
A nice course to finish our week long stay. Pretty much straightforward but there are some challenging holes throughout the round. A must play.
A nice course, unfortunately it rained throughout most of our round.
Some straight forward holes mixed with some tougher holes. A challenging course and a great afternoon.
An okay course but most likely would not play again.
What a beautiful course. Could play this one over and over and still not tire from it. The last three holes come as advertised and require your “A” game. Will definitely play again.
Absolutely beautiful course. The last three holes are indeed as advertised.
Nice course but got paired with a guy who told me how to play golf the entire round. That does not make for a nice day. Would probably have rated it one grade better otherwise.
Friendliest pro shop staff. Great “LONG” course layout, greens and fairways. The pace of play was fantastic. Would play here again.

We are from NJ and flew down to play some Myrtle Beach Golf for a long weekend. First off, I love this course and chose to play this course again, but it seemed like it was over booked. The course was in good shape. We were teamed up with another 2some. Our 4some waited at every tee box to tee off making for (another) looong day of golf. Our tee time was for 9:56am and we didn’t finish until 3:20pm. At 3:20 we walked into the clubhouse-Hungry-for our included free lunch only to be told “the kitchen closed at 3pm” at which time were were offered either a hot dog or a pre-made sandwich sealed in a plastic container sitting in a small fridge and a small bag of chips. I took a hot dog and my son took a sandwich. As we were finishing up the hot dog and sandwich, at 3:35pm, a Server walks out of the back with a full large tray of hot Cheeseburgers and French fries on plates and proceeds to serve a group of golfers (6) sitting next to us. How hard would it have been for the Bartender to run in the back to add 2 more hot cheeseburgers/fries to the Cook after I told her our round included lunch off the menu? However, she didn’t care at all-NOT COOL! This was a total let down after paying for the golf package that INCLUDED a nice lunch off the menu. This was not appreciated at all.
Upon arrival, we were informed after (evidently) lots of rain over the last 2 weeks, the course was “cart path only”. The sand traps also were wet with some traps still having 6 inches of water in them. The rain was no fault of the course; however, due to that and the course being cart path only, and also due to being teamed up with a 2some who were slooooow players who didn’t care they were holding up folks behind us, our round lasted close to 5.5 hours. Not a great day of golf
Exceptional staff. Great, beautiful, course. Tim and Larry exceptional to deal with. Great team – Great course
Beautiful historic clubhouse. Great staff. Course in very good condition. Staff most accommodating and helpful.
Beautiful clubhouse and facilities. Clurse in good sbape. Super nice.staff.
Course layout is fantastic, but course pace of play was abominable. Rangers had a hard time managing pace of play.
Fantastic shape, very impressed
